Custom publishing is showing great resilience in a magazine publishing sector where most news is not good news. Many traditional consumer and B2B publishers are switching their focus to this sector with the aim of generating a new revenue stream. Print remains the backbone of custom publishing with custom publishers however, finding new relevance, not just creating print and digital products but orchestrating marketing strategies as well as looking at ways to integrate a social media strategy in to the mix. Custom publisher Mahlab Media has recently collaborated with the Australian Osteopathic Association to create Osteo Life, the association's new member magazine, as reported on the MediaBizNet News portal, click here to read more. Meanwhile Australia Post are seizing the opportunity through the creation of an online portal dedicated to the promotion of custom publishing, listing publishing houses who ‘qualify'.
