Entertainment and media spending is expected to fall globally by a projected 1.2 per cent in 2009 however, Asia Pacific remains the fastest growing region, increasing at an annual compound rate of 5.1 per cent and 4.5 per cent through to 2013, reaching $73 billion and $413 billion respectively according to PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Entertainment & Media Outlook 2009-2013. The report also stated that PwC expects to see a 3.9 per cent drop in 2009 and a mere 0.4 per cent advance in 2010, with a period of much faster growth during the remaining period to 7.1 per cent in 2013. PwC is also certain that this recession will last longer than previous ones due to a steeper downturn and have more impact on spending. OPINION/FEEDBACK TO THE EDITOR
