The strength of custom publishing in the UK has been reinforced with an international awards program based on the theme , "Do you love editorial?" APA (the Association of Custom Publishers) in the UK has unveiled The International Customer Publishing Awards to take place in London on the 25th November 2009 as reported by FIPP. A panel of international judges including top media planners and impartial client-side marketing directors will judge the entries and select the winners. The Awards will include digital categories, recognising he significant rise of digital activity within the industry. This decision was made following an industry audit by APA this year that revealed over 15 per cent of the work produced by customer publishers in the UK is now online. The new categories include: • Best digital solution of the year (B2B internal) • Best digital communication of the year (consumer) • Best digital solution of the year (charities/not for profit/public sector) • Best use of video • Best catalogue, best brochure and best annual report have also been introduced following a consultation of APA membership More information can be obtained at IloveEd.co.uk.
