Football magazine Australian FourFourTwo has undergone a redesign and is expanding its digital presence with additional content and a new iPad application. The monthly has introduced a Performance section in both print and online which focuses on advice and tips for football players and coaches. It includes blogs, technical manuals and reports from the likes of FIFA and Football Federation Australia.
FourFourTwo is also launching a new iPad application in its November 5 issue, costing $5.99, which will feature embedded video and TVCs starring Australian and world football stars.
The magazine will increase its amount of exclusive video content available online, starting with an interview with Brazilian legend Pele. In June, Trevor Treharne was appointed the new editor of FourFourTwo, and more editorial changes are expected.
Andy Jackson, publisher of FourFourTwo, said the title is aiming to connect better with its readers who play football.
"It's a top-to-toe redesign," he said. Jackon said FourFourTwo is looking to "own the football iPad space" and is also considering introducing an iPhone application. It currently has one in the market for other smartphones.
"We've got high hopes for the iPad app," he said.
