Pop culture magazine, Cream, is to go completely digital from next year again illustrating how magazines are migrating their content online in various formats. As reported in AdNews, the 13-year-old Future Perfect Publications magazine is to launch dedicated apps for the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is set to hit shelves this month. There will also be renewed focus on the title's dedicated site.
A Cream ‘Mobile Magazine' will be available to download to mobile phones in February 2011, followed by Cream Magazine apps for tablet devices in April 2011.
The mobile magazine app will initially be given away free to readers, and the tablet apps will be offered to readers at a "competitive price".
Cream Editor-in-Chief, Antonino Tati, said: "There will be many readers upset at the news of the publication ceasing in print format so the least we can do is offer our loyal readership a complimentary application to begin with, followed by generously priced apps to enjoy on larger digital devices."
