Foxtel and ACP Join Forces for Media Documentary

11 Nov 2010

ACP Magazines and FOXTEL have announced Park Street - a new observational documentary series going behind the scenes of Australia's leading women's magazines.

Premiering exclusively on FOXTEL's Arena channel in 2011, Park Street takes viewers inside the hallowed halls of ACP Magazines' head office.

For the first time on Australian television, the famous magazine powerhouse at Sydney's Park Street opens its doors to reveal the inner workings and the people shaping the command centre of the Australian women's publishing industry.

Park Street will chronicle first-hand the cover-to-cover journey of editors, stylists, photographers, fashionistas, production staff, creative and sales teams across five key women's titles: Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Madison, Shop ‘Till You Drop and Dolly.

In an industry that influences millions of Australian women in their day-to-day lives, Park Street gives viewers a fly-on-the-wall look at how a top magazine is created, photographed, edited and marketed to create the must-have bibles of fashion and female culture and forecast trends for the current season and beyond.

Arena Channel Manager Duane Hatherly said "Park Street will take the viewer on a fascinating journey inside some of Australia's biggest magazine brands. It's a world where the stakes are high, the competition fierce and the drama is guaranteed!"

ACP Magazines Deputy Group Publishing Director Gerry Reynolds said "Park Street presents a great promotional opportunity for Madison, Cleo, Cosmopolitan, Dolly and Shop ‘Til You Drop. They are strong brands with a combined reach of 1,187,000 readers*, and the synergies between these titles and Arena is a win-win for both parties - and the sponsors who come on board with us.

"The series will showcase the great talent and energy that goes into creating our magazines as we present a fast-paced and contemporary window into the exciting and glamorous world of fashion and lifestyle titles.

"ACP and FOXTEL already have a close working relationship across a number of platforms and we are very happy to be working together on this Australian television first," Mr Reynolds said.

Park Street is produced by Vokyo Entertainment. Shooting will commence in November and the 10-part series will premiere exclusively on FOXTEL's Arena channel early next year.
