FourFourTwo has beaten off stiff competition from CIO Magazine, Selector and OUTthere Magazine to win the first ever Publishers Australia Excellence Award 2010. at. A win unanimously voted by the judges. The top award was chosen from the winners of the following categories: Website of the Year, Custom Magazine of the Year, Consumer Magazine of the Year and B2B Magazine of the Year.
The Publishers Australia Excellence Awards 2010 were judged by a team of 14 judges led by managing director of Essence Media & Fusion Strategy, Steve Allen.
Allen praised the quality of entries in this year's Publishers Australia Excellence Awards. He said: "These awards are the most varied and diverse I have been involved with, which made Judges acutely aware of how different publishers were tackling the marketplace, especially in this last extremely challenging year.
"The quality of entries was very high. Those that flourished need to be congratulated. As they say, if you can make it in the bad times, you can only flourish in the good times."
Publishers Australia chairman Geoff Hird agreed with Allen. He said: "Based on the number and quality of entries this year, it is clear the industry is not just surviving, but thriving in the landscape of transformation.
"Publishers Australia continues to transform as well, with a new resource-rich website and more events in 2010 than in any year prior."
